Want to be a Substitute Teacher?

Then, substitute teaching may be just right for you.

What do I need to be a substitute teacher?

  1. An Arizona Teaching Certificate* or a Substitute Teaching Certificate which requires that you have a B.A. degree  ( Arizona Teacher Certification website)
  2. A completed Substitute Teaching Application 
  3. A completed Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) along with documents verifying identification.
  4. A completed Statement of Compliance with Military Selective Service Act.
  5. A completed Measles Immunization Form.
  6. A signed District Substance Abuse Policy which you have read.
  7. Completed payroll and withholding forms.

How much will I get paid?

  • $90 per day.
