January -Apollo NJROTC hosted GUHSD’s 37^th Annual Military Ball, at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, on Saturday 17 January. Two hundred seventy-four people were present and seven NJROTC units supported the annual Military Ball.

 

            Apollo’s Principal, Mrs. Sue Maland, opened the ball by welcoming all in attendance, and warmly expressed her gratitude for cadets, and their families, for making the economic sacrifice so cadets could attend the Military Ball. Dr. Jennifer Johnson, GUHSD’s Superintendent, was also in attendance at the 37^th Annual Military Ball. Dr. Johnson highlighted the ceremonial portion of the ball, by paying tribute to all GUHSD’s JROTC units, for their long-standing service to district schools, local communities, and state agencies.
