WHS Interact Students Participate In Paint-a-Thon

October -With paint brushes and extension ladders in hand, Washington High School's Interact club participated in the Valley-wide Rock and Roll Paint-a-Thon on October 25. Over 40 students spent the day washing, scraping, painting and landscaping a local house.

"I am always blown away by what these students can do once they put their minds to it," said Interact advisor Jill Green. "They attacked this project with enthusiasm and really made a difference in a person's life."

"This was an opportunity I couldn't pass up," said junior Tori Stallings. "It was an amazing experience to help my community and people in need."

Interact is sponsored by Sun City Rotary and is one of the largest and most active Interact clubs in the world with nearly 200 members.

The annual Paint-a-thon is sponsored by Rebuilding Together, and over 3,700 volunteers from organizations around the Valley painted homes of 150 elderly and disabled homeowners.
