Finance
The Finance Department supervises all business functions for Glendale Union High School District.  Key areas of involvement focus on a variety of divisions including purchasing, accounts payable, and employee benefits.  Responsibilities include the provision of timely and accurate information to staff, the public, and regulatory agencies.

Awards

​The Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting to the District for its comprehensive annual financial report  for the end of the last fiscal year.  Additionally, the Government of Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the District for its comprehensive annual financial report for the last fiscal year.  The GUHSD Finance Department is pleased to have been recognized with this honor for 25 consecutive years.  In order to be awarded these certificates, the District published an easily readable and efficiently organized comprehensive annual financial report.  This report satisfied both accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America and applicable legal requirements.

These certificates are valid for a period of one year only.  We believe that future year reports will continue to meet the programs' requirements and we plan to continue submitting to ASBO and the GFOA.
