Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the price of lunch?   A: The school lunch meal costs $2.50 and consists of one entree, two sides and a beverage. Contact your school for additional details. Menus 

Q: How do I register my child for school?   A: See Registration for more information.

Q: What are the normal hours for school?
A: A typical school day at all nine high schools begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. Each school may have late start schedules, early-bird classes, or after-school programs. Please check with your school for their daily class schedule.

Q: Can my child take the bus to school?

Q: Who do I direct questions to if I have concerns about special education services?
A: Contact:

When problems arise the procedure is to first contact the person most directly involved with the issue. If the issue cannot be successfully resolved, the next contact would be the school principal and finally the district administration.

Q: What is the district's total enrollment?
A: The district philosophy is to keep high school enrollment low to afford a safe and orderly campus, and provide maximum opportunity for student involvement. Total student enrollment for our nine high schools is approximately 15,000.
